I'm suspecting the Merc is just more comfortable. I rarely see them drive anyway, so I suspect they're retired. The Aston was far more cramped, not a V12 and had a manual 'box.

Even I would have stuck with the Aston in this instance. But that is a nice looking SL (for an R107). Nice color too, refreshing not to see some shade of gold/beige/cream.

I'M foing to need to see a picture of the back of that thing.
Also, the R107s are growing on me, but I like the R129 best, and the current generation SL is a close second.

SLC, or removeable hardtop? The R107s had a very clever hard top which looked far more integrated that the R129
